Army Corps of Engineers Campgrounds on Lake Ouachita
Pleasures Are Many On Lake Ouachita!
At 49,000 acres, Lake Ouachita is
the state's largest man-made lake and is one of the cleanest lakes in the
United States, according to the EPA. The reservoir is managed by
the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and the shoreline covers some 970 miles.
It's home to deer, black bear and wild turkey. Other wildlife roam
the surrounding forest, and the lake provides an annual home to many wintering
eagles.
Come enjoy scuba diving, skiing, sailing,
camping and hiking. Visitors may choose from a variety of accommodations,
from luxury lake view condominiums to rustic cabins or inexpensive motel
offerings.
Mark
Davis of Mount Ida was named the 1995 and 1998 Bass Angler of
