So who’s Pearl?
Pearl was a beloved icon of the Sweet Home community. She lived on the homestead just around the curve in the cabin that was built in 1907. No insulation except newspapers. She cooked on a wood stove every day and used an outhouse until they added on an indoor bathroom. She had a garden, chickens and milk cows so all the neighbors came to her for their eggs, produce, milk and butter.
When I was thinking about a name for the house, I made the comment that even though it was 1980’s retro, Pearl would have thought it was a palace. So we left the original decor and accessorized with the 80’s in mind. Come relive childhood memories and share with your family days gone by. PS, have some fresh eggs on Pearl.
