Harbor East POA (HEPOA)

In 1981, Harbor East POA (HEPOA) was created on the sixty-two wooded acres on Lake Ouachita 49,000-acre wilderness mountain lake. Located just twenty-six miles from Hot Springs, the community is comprised of 188 condominiums or 49 buildings with 3 tennis courts, one multi- purpose court and 2 swimming pools.  HEPOA is governed by a volunteer board of directors who maintain the integrity and preserve the beauty of the property.  There is one full-time employee Office Manager who oversees the day-to-day operations and one contracted Property Manager whose crew oversees the maintenance and repair of the property.  Several condo Unit Owners rent their condos out throughout the year and contact information can be found on any rental website.  For more information about HEPOA, please visit our website – www.harboreastpoa.com, email us – [email protected] or call us at 870-867-3838.

Pearl’s Palace

Close to town & close to Lake Ouachita.

You may be coming for the lake but you might just end up lounging in the spacious backyard. Almost 2 acres of the property is level and clear with lots a space for horseshoes, baggo, badminton or even a some tag football. Another acre slopes down to the bullfrog pond where you can practice your casting skills or just relax and listen to the birds and bullfrogs. Maybe you would prefer chillin’ by the firepit or under one of the many shade trees. Look us up on Facebook.

Inside the 1665 sq. ft. home, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen with full size applicances and all the modern kitchenware to whip up your favorite meals. We’ll even include a dozen farm fresh eggs in memory of Pearl. Grill utensils and charcoal included for the charcoal grill. The large open floor plan living space includes a gas log fireplace and a small gas heater for those chilly mornings. The 2 large bedrooms in the sleeping part of the house becomes a little more secluded with the unique hallway door. The king bedroom has a kingsize bed, television, and DVD/VCR player. Our bunkroom has two sets of bunkbeds with 4 full sized mattresses, television and DVD/VCR player. The hallway door also benefits anyone snoozing on the sleeper sofa or the queen size, double-stacked airbed in the living area. The bathroom in the sleeping area includes a bathtub/shower while the 2nd bathroom off the mudroom/laundry room has a standup shower. The laundry room consist of full size washer and dryer. So even if you ended up in a rain storm while out biking, hiking or diggin’ for crystals, you can duck in the shower straight from the laundry. Additionally, there is a 32′ carport which works out great for parking a truck with a trailer or 3 vehicles. And, if the weather is a little damp, it can even be set up for your patio party.

So who’s Pearl?

Pearl was a beloved icon of the Sweet Home community. She lived on the homestead just around the curve in the cabin that was built in 1907. No insulation except newspapers. She cooked on a wood stove every day and used an outhouse until they added on an indoor bathroom. She had a garden, chickens and milk cows so all the neighbors came to her for their eggs, produce, milk and butter.

When I was thinking about a name for the house, I made the comment that even though it was 1980’s retro, Pearl would have thought it was a palace. So we left the original decor and accessorized with the 80’s in mind. Come relive childhood memories and share with your family days gone by. PS, have some fresh eggs on Pearl.
