Norman Historic Preservation Program, Inc. (NHPP, inc.)

Visiting the Caddo Valley Academy/Old Norman High School is like taking a trip 94 years back in time. The stately two-story edifice was built in 1924 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. Renovations led by the Norman Historic Preservation Program (NHPP) continue and a tour becomes a trip through mini-museums depicting the school as it was many years ago as well as the history of an old “sawmill”town. Special tours can be arranged by calling in advance. A cottage available for lodging is also on the grounds

Little Fir Landing

Little Fir Landing is located in a peaceful setting on beautiful Lake Ouachita, only 15 minutes from Mount Ida at the end of Hwy 188E.  Recent additions are two lake view cabins.  Little Fir Landing also has 25 RV camping sites with full hook ups (water, sewer, electric), and trash service.  Boat slips and dry storage units are available.

Lake Ouachita Vacation Rentals

Lodging for large or small groups. Four cabins (about to be 5), proximate to each other on Fox off of Twin Creek Rd. Less than a mile from Lake Ouachita at Twin Creek  Recreation Area. The facilities can be rented individually or in a package accommodating up to 30 people. The main house alone sleeps up to 15.  Check the website for pictures and descriptions. Highway 27 Fishing Village

Highway 27 Fishing Village in Montgomery County in the Ouachita Mountains. They offer lodging including both air conditioned cabins as well as campground with electricity and water and waterfront campsites. The boat dock includes access to gasoline, tackle, bait shop – even fishing licenses.
There is swimming and even shuttles to hiking and biking trails. Give them a look.
